About this recipe

Beetroot chutney is completely different from normal tomato and onion chutney.

Ingredients for Beetroot Chutney

  • 250 gram beetroot
  • 2 green chilli
  • 1 tbsp amchoor (dry mango powder)
  • 1/2 shredded coconut
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • few curry leaves
  • pinch of asafetida
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1 tsp oil for tempering

How to cook Beetroot Chutney

  1. Peel Beetroot and put it in a microwave dish filled with water.Microwave it for 5 minutes or till it comes soft.
  2. Cut beetroot into 4 halves or more , add green chill, amchoor and coconut,salt,grind it into paste.
  3. Temper it with tadka - heat ghee, add asafetida,curry leaves, mustard seeds and let it splutter for few seconds.Add this tempering t beetroot paste
