Basic Walnut Cake Eggless

A simple basic eggless walnut cake with few ingredients from the kitchen. This cake is as soft and moist as the egg one. A perfect cake to enjoy your evening cup of tea. It tastes delicious with plain vanilla custard.

Ingredients
  

  • All purpose flour 1 cup
  • Sweetened condensed milk 400 grams
  • Softened butter 100 grams
  • Baking powder 1 tsp
  • Baking soda 1/2 tsp
  • Vanilla extract 1 tsp
  • Crushed walnuts 1cup
  • Butter for greasing the cake tin

Instructions
 

  • Preheat Oven at 180° C and grease a circular cake tin 8×8 inch with butter lined with parchment paper and keep aside.
  • In a mixing bowl beat softened butter and condensed milk till mixed well together.
  • Seive all purpose flour, baking powder and baking soda in the sweetened butter mixture.
  • Mix everything well using cut and fold method and make a smooth batter.
  • Add vanilla extract and chopped walnuts and mix it again. The batter should be smooth and flowing add milk if the batter is too thick.
  • Pour the batter in greased cake tin and tap to make an even layer from all sides.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180° C for 35 minutes. Keep an eye on the cake after 30 minutes.
  • Once done insert a toothpick to check the cake is nicely cooked or not. The cake is done if it comes out clean.
  • Take the cake out of the tin and place it on a wire rack to cool down completely.
  • Cut into slices and enjoy eggless walnut cake.
