Healthy dessert-barley kheer. As we know barley is healthy food product but we should know the trick how to feed our kids and ourselves also.
It is a healthy diet easy recipe added with nutritious ingredients

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 litre milk
  • 2 tablespoon barley
  • 2 tablespoon jaggery grated
  • 2 tablespoon coconut grated
  • 2 tablespoon coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon raisins
  • 1 tablespoon dry fruits
  • 1/2 green cardamom powder

Instructions
 

  • Soak barley with same amount of warm water for 15 minutes.
  • Start boiling milk then add soaked barley and stir continuously. Barley should not stick into the bottom.
  • Slowly milk will reduce and barley will become soft. Now add raisins, dry fruits, grated coconut and green cardamom powder.
  • Again boil for a minute then switch off the burner and add grated jaggery and coconut milk.
  • Stir evenly and keep for 10 minutes. Either it can be served immediately or can be kept in fridge.

Notes

  • If barley soaked before it will take less time to cook.
