Banana flowers have good amount of potassium and iron. It is effective for cholesterol and hypertension. Mochaa means banana flowers. After growing banana the flowers remain. Those who know the taste of banana flowers they cut the flowers and cook. There are so many recipes with Mochaa. Here I am sharing one of the easy recipe from Bangladesh. Banana flowers cutting and chopping is a great art. There are two types of flowers raw banana flowers have some bitterness and ripe banana flowers have no bitterness. Before cutting you have to bite one flower if you feel it is bitter then after cutting soak in water with little salt for 2-4 hours. Then wash, boil and strain the water after then it will ready to cook.

Ingredients
- 250 gm chopped banana flowers
- 1 medium size potato cut in cubes
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
- 1 to mato chopped
- 1 tablespoon mustard oil
- Green chillies
- Coriander leaves
- Salt

Instructions
- Boil the chopped banana flowers then strain. Shallow fry the potato cubes and keep separate.
- In the same pan add whole red chilli and panchphoran and stir for a few seconds.
- Then add chopped tomato, green chillies, boiled flowers, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder stir continuously. Close the lid and cook for 5 minutes.
- Open the lid add potato cubes, garam masala and salt. Mix all together again cook for a minute. Then add coriander leaves and serve.
