  • 3 Plantain raw
  • 1 cup Coconut Oil
  • 3 tbsp Water
  • 1-2 tsp Salt or as per taste
  • 2 tsp Turmeric Powder

  • In a small bowl add water, salt and turmeric powder, stir and mix well. Keep aside.
  • Slit the banana skin and peel them and sliced them very thinly using a slicer.
  • Heat oil in a pan. When the oil is hot, simmer the heat and add the sliced banana one at a time and fry on medium heat for few mins till it begins to crisp.
  • Simmer the heat and sprinkle little Turmeric water. Be careful it might splash. Increase to medium heat and fry again. When the sizzling stops take the chips out and drain in an absorbent paper.
  • Serve immediately or store it in an air tight container.

Recipe Notes

For authentic taste I recommend to use coconut oil for frying.
