About Baked Sattu And Poha Bread Pakora
This recipe again dedicated to my Mom as she is very fond of bread Pakoras...I still remember on Sundays even we used to look forward for this special breakfast those days.
I am more into health food so I modified the recipe as per my own requirements and made it for mom this time when she visited me ...she loved it totally.
This recipe has a twist...ðŸ˜Å

Ingredients
- 1 cup Besan
- 1/2 cup Sattu
- 1 / Poha flatten rice- cup
- to Batter or water water as desired form
- 1-2 tsp Salt ajwain,turmeric powder,chat masala,dhania powder-as per your own tastes, or as per taste
- Green Chutney mint
- a leaves Mint
- 1-2 cloves Garlic
- Green Chillies as per how hot you like your chutney
- 1 tbsp Pomegranate Seeds dry
- Sugar some
- Spring Onion greens
- Filling for the
- 1 cup Potatoes shredded boiled
- 1/4 cup grated carrot
- 1/4 cup Sweet Corn
- 2 tbsp Onion chopped
- 1 Garlic chopped tspn
- Cheese cheddar mozerella blend

Instructions
- First of all put all the ingredients of green chutney in a grinder and grind coarsely to a chutney and keep aside.
- Now heat some oil in a pan and saute onion and garlic along with boiled potatoes ,carrots and sweet potatoes and prepare a filling add seasoning as per your tastes.
- Now combine Sattu ,besan and pohe all together and add seasoning to it.
- Prepare batter using adequate amount of water .Batter should be thick and it should coat the bread slices.
- Now take a slice of bread and apply green chutney on both the slices and top it with some cheese so that while baking it melts and keeps the filling moist inside.
- Now place the dry filling over this and top it with some more cheese and close it like a sandwich with the other slice and keep aside.
- Now you have to coat the sandwich with the prepared batter here you don't need to dip it in the batter use your hands to spread the batter evenly over the bread sandwich and seal the edges.
- Place the coated sandwich in a baking tray and bake it for 15 to 20 mnts in a preheated oven at 180/200
- Cut the sandwich in two halves and serve it with chutney ,some fries,salad and Nachoz by the side.(Nachos made with leftover chapatis...shared recipe in previous posts.)
- This looks and tastes absolutely yummy and extremely healthy Not only my mom even my kids loved it and it was quite filling .
Recipe Notes
While preparing batter you can add a tblspn of oil or ghee else the coating after baking appears dry in taste.
Just a pinch of baking powder can also be added to the batter before Coating for better baking.
