Baked Oats Kachori

Oats are beneficial in many ways, it helps to reduce weight and enhances the immune system and protects you against many diseases and infections. In diabetic patients, oats stabilise blood sugar level and are very beneficial to control diabetes. Oats also help in controlling blood pressure and also lowers the cholesterol levels.

  • 1 cup Wheat Flour
  • Pinch of hing
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • Water as required
  • 1 packet classic masala oats
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1/4 cup green peas
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 1 1/2 cup water


  • In a mixing bowl add wheat flour, hing, salt, oil and mix well. Add water and knead a nice dough. Cover the dough with a muslin cloth and let it rest.
  • Heat water in a pan. Add classic masala oats, cumin powder, red chilli powder, green peas and cook for 3 minutes. let it cool.
  • Roll the dough into discs. Apply water on the edges, add the oats stuffing to the disc and cover with another disc and seal it with the help of fork.
  • Glace the baking sheet with oil. Place the kachoris on the sheet and bake for about 15 minutes at 180 degrees.
  • Serve hot with mint chutney, salad or potato Bhaji.
  • Note-Flip the kachoris after 8-9 mins. Brush some oil with silicone brush on kachoris before baking.
