Bael Murabba (Wood Apple)

I brought bael but some of them raw and hard. I could'nt use them for drinks. Then I thought to make murabba. I break the hard shell and scooped carefully. It is very good stomach system. You follow me the rest.

  • 2 medium sized bael
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 5 cloves
  • 5 green cardamom
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1/2 cinnamon powder


  • Take a wok add water, bay leaves, cinnamon sticks, cloves, green cardamom. Bring to boil.

  • Add sugar again bring to boil. Add bael slices. Stir them frequently and should not stick to the bottom.
  • When the syrup becomes thickened add cinnamon powder. Mix carefully. Put off the flame.
  • Keep in a jar or you can serve.


It can be kept in fridge for more than a month.
