Ingredients Â
- 2.5 cup all purpose flour
- 1.25 cup rice flour
- 0.5 cup almond paste
- 2 tbsp ghee
- 100 ml milk
- a pinch of saffron
- 4 cardamom crushed
- 1.5 cup sugar
- oil for frying
- 1 tbsp desiccated coconut optional

- Mix all purpose flour, rice flour, badam paste and milk to a dough of thick consistency.
- Keep it aside for ten minutes.
- Make sugar syrup by adding one cup of water to it. Add strands of saffron and cardamom powder to it. It should be of one string consistency.
- Take three lemon sized balls of the dough. Roll them into circle.
- Apply ghee and dust a little flour to it. Keep them one over the other and roll.
- Cut into small sections in it.
- Take one section and roll it into a puri.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Fry the puri. Let it be golden on both sides. Remove on a tissue paper.
- Repeat for the rest of the balls
- Put the fried puris in sugar syrup for five minutes. Remove and serve. Desiccated coconut may be added to it.
