Ingredients for Arvi/colosia Takatak /spicy Arvi Masala

  • arvi/ 1/2 kg
  • ajvain /carom seeds 1 tbsp
  • lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • salt to taste
  • coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • chopped green chili 1 tbsp
  • chopped coriander 1 tbsp
  • dry mango powder 1/2 tbsp
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • red chili powder 2 tsp
  • oil 2 tbsp
  • finely chopped onion 1 large no.
  • black pepper powder 1/4 tsp

How to cook Arvi/colosia Takatak /spicy Arvi Masala

  1. wash n hard boil the arvi,peel and cur into two.
  2. heat the oil (you can also use deshi ghee)add carom seed,,saute the onion
  3. add green chili,turmeric powder,red chili powder,coriander powder cook it 2 minute ,add arvi and mix well in spices.
  4. add mango powder,black pepper powder lemon juice cook for 5 minute with stirring.
  5. switch the flame garnish with coriander serve hot with paratha .
