About Anarsa Recipe

This is an Indian traditional recipe. It is a Maharashtrian recipe. They use jaggery. But in North India they celebrate Rakshabandhan or Janmashtami with this Anarsa along with many dishes. They use sugar to making this recipe. Here I also used sugar.

  • Soak the rice over night then drain out the water, then spread in a fine cloth and dry. Now grind the rice and sieve . Take 1 cup of rice flour mix with sugar powder and 2 tsp ghee. If needed you can add milk, make a soft and sweet dough.

  • Keep for twenty minutes then divide into equal portion

  • Coat with white sesame and deep fry.

Recipe Notes

For best and authentic result, rice should be soaked three days but every six hours water should be changed.
