A very famous dish of Bengal.Spice potatoes are cooked with poppy seed paste,green chilli and black carway.

Ingredients
- Potato 4 medium chopped in cubes
- Poppy seeds 6 tbsp
- Green chilli 2nos
- Black caraway seeds/Nigella seeds 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder 1/2tsp
- Sugar 1/2 tsp
- Salt to taste 1tsp
- Mustard oil 2 tbsp
- Water 1/4cup

Instructions
- Soak poppy seeds in 1/4cup of water for 20 mins atleast, it's ease the grinding procedure.
- After soaking,add poppy seeds in the chutney grinder or food processor.
- Add 1 green Chilli and grind into fine paste.
- In the meantime,clean and chop the potatoes in cubes
- Take a frypan add mustard oil,once heated and add Nigella seeds and sugar,stir and saute for few seconds
- Add chopped potatoes and saute it on low flame, stirring it on interval,till it's half done.
- Add poppy seed and chilli paste and add turmeric powder.
- Now add water to it and salt.
- Now cover the pan with lid ,on simmer till all water dries up and potatoes are cooked.
- Make sure potatoes are not over cooked and poppy seed paste is coated evenly.
- Serve with rice/Indian bread.
