About this Recipe

Learnt it long back but still the best!

Ingredients & Quantity
  • 10 medium sized potatoes
  • 250 grams of cottage cheese
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp garam masala
  • few coriander leaves
  • Salt / Chilli powder acoording to taste
  • 1 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 2 cups of oil for deep frying
  • 3 onion (pureed)
  • 1 cup whisked curd
How to cook?
  1. Peel potatoes and scoop out potatoes with the help of spoon's back to make a hole in the potato, Make sure that potato doesn't break while doing so.
  2. Heat about 1.5 cup of oil and deep fry the scooped potatoes, Once brown keep them aside on the paper napkin to soak extra oil.
  3. Take another pan/wok and add fresh oil to it, pour pureed onion, Ginger-garlic paste and let it turn completely brown(no water should be left)
  4. Make Paneer mixture: crush paneer, add chopped coriander leaves,1 tbsp garam masala, salt, chilli.
  5. Stuff this paneer mixture into the scooped-fried aloo.
  6. Put whisked curd,tumeric powder, coriander powder into onion gravy , Add little water and let it simmer for 10 mins or till it gets a good consistency .
  7. Slowly put stuffed aloo into this gravy and let it simmer for 5 more minutes
  8. Aloo Najakat is ready , Garnish with Coriander leaves and serve hot with rice/roti
