Aloo ka halwa is a perfect FOOD FOR FASTING...only three main ingredients make this halwa perfect for Prasad or nevedyam since we are not using any sort of flour in it you can count it in gluten free recipe also.

Ingredients
  

  • 6 Potatoes medium size, boiled, peeled and grated
  • 1/2 cup Ghee clarified butter
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 1/2 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Cardamom powder green
  • 1/2 cup nuts mixed, chopped

Instructions
 

  • Heat ghee in a heavy bottomed pan. Add grated potatoes and saute well. The more you saute the better the halwa tastes.

  • Stir continuously as it tends to stick to the bottom a little. Add milk and powdered sugar and mix well.
  • Cook till the sugar dissolves completely and the halwa starts leaving ghee. (At this stage you can drain out ghee in a bowl, can consume it later for some other dish)
  • Add green cardamom powder and nuts and mix well. Serve warm.
