  • Heat ghee in pan add mashed potatoes in it. Keep sauteing for 7 mins on low flame. Make sure there is no lumps in potatoes.

  • Add cardamom powder in it and keep sautéing.

  • When potatoes start leaving ghee on pan add sugar n mix really well and keep sautéing till sugar dissolve.

  • Add nuts in it and mix well. Keep sautéing continuously on high flame for 3 to 5 minutes. Switch off the flame.

  • Aloo ka Halwa is ready to serve. Garnish with some cherries.

Recipe Notes

  • Do not overcook potatoes. Potatoes will get get crispy so whenever you make this halwa you need to keep sautéing it continuously.
