Ingredients
- 4 potatoes (large, boiled n mashed)
- 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
- 5 tbsp sugar
- 5 tbsp clarified butter (ghee)
- 1/2 cup nuts (chopped, almonds, cashews, pistachios)
- 3-5 cherries (for garnishing)

Instructions
- Heat ghee in pan add mashed potatoes in it. Keep sauteing for 7 mins on low flame. Make sure there is no lumps in potatoes.
- Add cardamom powder in it and keep sautéing.
- When potatoes start leaving ghee on pan add sugar n mix really well and keep sautéing till sugar dissolve.
- Add nuts in it and mix well. Keep sautéing continuously on high flame for 3 to 5 minutes. Switch off the flame.
- Aloo ka Halwa is ready to serve. Garnish with some cherries.
Recipe Notes
- Do not overcook potatoes. Potatoes will get get crispy so whenever you make this halwa you need to keep sautéing it continuously.
