  • Peel the potatoes and pressure cook for 2 whistles. Once pressure releases drain off the water and mash the potatoes. Set aside.
  • Heat 1 tbsp oil and add the ginger garlic, green chillies and fry for a min.
  • Add turmeric powder, cumin and coriander powder and mix well.
  • Add the mashed potato, salt and mix thoroughly. Set aside.
  • Take the batter ingredients and make a smooth batter without any lumps by adding water little by little at a time. Make sure that the batter is not thin.
  • Make small balls from the potato mixture and flatten the balls using your palms.
  • Heat oil for Deep frying. Take each flatten potato mixture, dip in batter and deep fry till golden which will take around 5-10 mins.
  • Drain in absorbent paper/towel and serve with any chutney of your choice or serve as it is with hot cup of tea.
