This is one ofÂ favourite snack of many people at our place (Bhubaneswar) and our favorite too!. Was really having craves to have these for long time..So prepared in my way!!
Yield / Serves
For Filling-2 medium size boiled potato
1 Onion finely chopped
Green chilli 1 chopped
Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
Cumin powder 1/4tsp
Coriander powder 1/4tsp
Garam masala 1 pinch
Chilli powder 1/4tsp
Coriander leaves finely chopped
Salt to taste
For Batter Gram flour 1 cup
Water 1/4 cup approximately
Salt as per taste
Oil for frying
ForFilling- Take a frying pan put oil once heated add onion to it and cook till it's translucent.
Then add ginger garlic paste and green chilli and sautÃ© till the raw aroma goes off.
Now add cumin powder, coriander powder, red Chilli powder and garam masala sautÃ© for 2-3 minutes.
Now add mashed potatoes and mix well and cook for 5 min.
Now add salt and mix properly.
Add coriander leaves and mix well and keep the mixture aside to cool.
For batter- In a mixing bowl add gram flour ,salt and little water ,to make thick consistency.
In a frying pan add oil for frying once heated
Now divide the potato mixture into equal portions an give a round shape.
Once oil is heated, dip the potato mixture balls in the batter and fry till light golden colour.
Serve hot with chutney
