Whenever I want to have a special rice based dish biryani is always in my mind. Layered and dum cooked biryani made from potatoes, rice and flavorful spices.

Ingredients
- 400 gm Basmati Rice
- 400 gm Potatoes (cut into halve)
- 2 large Onion (sliced)
- 2 large Tomato (chopped)
- 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1-2 tsp Salt (or as per taste)
- 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
- 1 tsp Coriander Powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp Garam Masala
- 1 tsp Biryani Masala (everest shahi)
- 1/2 cup Oil
- leaves Coriander (some chopped)

Instructions
- Heat oil in pressure cooker. Add onion n saute till it turn light brown in color.
- Add ginger garlic paste n cook for min on low flame.
- Add tomatoes, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder n saute for min on high flame. Add 1/2 cup water cover the lid and cook for till oil start floating on all over masala.
- Add potatoes, salt, shahi biryani masala and coriander leaves. mix it. Cook for minute on low flame.
- Add rice and required water (in which rice cooked perfect). Cover the lid and cook it on 3whistles.
- Aloo Biryani is ready to serve. Serve this hot with raita.
Recipe Notes
U can also fry potatoes in clarified butter for 2minutes on low flame. Taste will come more awesome.
