Carom leaves, it prevents infection, controls blood pressure, gives relief in cough and congestion. Other than these it has many other beneficial properties. Here is my home grown plant. I am sharing with you ajwain tikkiI used less ingredients and less spices because of the original aroma of the carom leaves. When we take a bite of tikki we can feel the aroma of ajwain leaves flavour. As per Ayurveda this is a medicinal recipe.

Ingredients
- ½ bowl mashed potatoes
- 7 to 8 carom leaves
- 1 teaspoon carom seeds
- 1 tbsp green chilies chopped
- 1 tbsp garam masala roasted
- Sesame oil as required
- Salt to taste

Instructions
- Boil and mash the potatoes, keep separate.
- Chop carom leaves and tender stem. Take a pan heat oil add green chilies, carom leaves and salt. Stir a minute then keep separate.
- In the same pan heat oil add carom seeds stir a few seconds. Add mashed potatoes, salt and roasted garam masala. Mix evenly then let cool at room temperature.
- Now take handful potato then fill cooked carom leaves and give tikki shape.
- Then shallow fry, turn both sides crispy. Serve with any sauce as you like.
