  • Potatoes
  • Poppy seeds
  • Green chilli
  • Salt
  • Turmeric powder
  • Sugar


  • Make a paste of poppy seeds and green chillies with a little bit of water. Cut the potatoes into small pieces
  • Heat oil in a pan and add black cumin to it. Add the potatoes and fry them. Add turmeric powder and mix it. Then add the poppy seed paste, salt and a pinch of sugar and mix it up well.
  • After around 2 minutes add water and cover the pan keeping the flame to medium. Once the potatoes are cooked, turn the flame to high and cook till the water is completely dried out.
