Its low-yielding grapes provide wines that are bold, intense, complex, and full-bodied. The vintners of Barossa are experts in softening them in oak while retaining their tastes of juicy berries and rich chocolates with hints of minty flavours. Grant Burge, Penfolds, and Torbreck are just some of the names that signify the Shiraz.

The quarantine laws of the district are so strong that no single vineyard wines or wine estate are affected by Phylloxera louse, in a result of which the wines have long ages and hence the quality. Barossa Valley is famous for producing a different variety of wines, but Shiraz is the best-acclaimed wine of the region locally as well as internationally. The quality shows the richness and full-bodied feature of the wine. The soft velvety grape tannins are the most loved features of the Barossa Shiraz.
