Nostalgic Tikki

Few days back there was a phone call from my friend. She searched me from social network. She was saying " hi Geeta you are sharing recipes with platter share but do you remember you tasted me potatoes tikki which I never had twice" I was nostalgic for a few seconds. It was thirty years ago. So I must share this.

Ingredients
  

  • 250 gms boiled mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup grated cabbage
  • 2 cup soaked soya chung
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger paste
  • 2 green chilli chopped
  • Fresh coriander chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
  • 1/2 cup green peas
  • Salt
  • Oil as required
  • Puffed rice powder to coat

Instructions
 

  • Take a pan heat and add oil. Add ginger garlic paste sauteed.

  • Add grated cabbage, green peas, soya chung, salt, green chilli, fresh coriander, cinnamon powder and cumin powder.
  • Cooked and keep separate.
  • Now ready some mashed potatoes ball. Fill the balls with cooked veggies.
  • Coat with puffed rice powder. Take a frying pan add oil and shallow fry.
  • Tikki are ready to serve with sauce or chutney.

Notes

This recipe has a emotional touch. That’s why I named nostalgic tikki.
