Shrikhand is an Indian sweet dish made of strained yogurt. It is one of the main desserts in Gujarati cuisine and Maharashtrian cuisine.Adding seasonal fruits to it enhances the taste and serves as a great dessert.

Ingredients
- Hung Curd Chakka 2 Cups
- Sugar 8-10 tsp
- CustardApple Pulp ¾ Cup
- Chopped Almonds For Garnishing
- Chopped Pistachios For Garnishing
- Banana For Garnishing
- Orange For Garnishing
- Nutmeg Powder A Pinch
- Elaichi Powder A Pinch
- Saffron Soaked in lukewarm milk 8-10 strands
- Semisweet Chocolate 1/2 Cup

- Take Hung Curd in a mixing bowl.(Hung curd can be prepared by tieing yogurt in muslin cloth and hang it for 3-4 hours until the excess water has dropped out). Add Sugar to Hung Curd and mix well till it blends well till it becomes smooth.
- Add Nutmeg Powder,Chopped dry fruits,Elaichi Powder & Saffron and mix well.Shrikhand is ready.
- Add custard apple pulp to shrikhand,mix well and keep it in refrigerator to chill.
- Melt chocolate over double boiler and dip banana slices into it and make sure the banana is evenly coated with chocolate.Let it set for ½ hour.
- Transfer the Kesari Sitaphal Shikhand in serving bowls and garnish with chocolate-coated bananas,oranges and saffron.Serve Chilled.

What I loved about the recipe is use of Custard apple which I eat only when i have plenty of time to waste 🙂 but here you have used it very wisely.
